See more about this pub on CAMRA's national web site
An 1866 village pub retaining its original two bars, whose historic interior is identified by CAMRA as being of regional importance. Walls and ceilings are decorated with old pictures, craft tools and local memorabilia, many of which relate to former landlord and local historian Mervyn Cutten. In the right-hand Public Bar the rare game of Ring the Bull can be played. There is a pool table in the new Sports Hall in the garden, and the pub boasts both pool and darts teams. Pub opens at 12.00 daily. Meals are only served Friday – Sunday lunchtimes (not January and February), though crusty rolls are freshly made daily. Winner of Fuller's Master Cellarman award, 2024.
