The Woodmancote pub is in Woodmancote Lane in the village of Woodmancote talk about Nominative Determinism (there is another Woodmancote near Henfield West Sussex but that isn't the one we were aiming for). Dave Taylor, James Bell and Laurie Dooley boarded the Nº 54 bus in Chi, and rattled our way to Woodmancote. Unfortunately Stagecoach only have two buses per day to Westbourne, one from Petersfield to Chi at 8 o'clock in the morning, one from Chi to Petersfield at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. So how come it was late? Laurie tried to make sure the driver would stop at the pub, even though there was no bus stop sign at the location shown on the App. but the driver was impatient to get away. In the pub was CAKE and beer too. They had Harvey's Sussex Best, St Austell Tribute (both NBSS 3.5), Burning Sky Plateau (extremely pale) and Goldmark Dave Best. We stayed until 3:00pm when it was time for the Book-a-bus, which was unfortunately late as well, still, it gave us time for an extra half. We got back to Chi for 4 o'clock.
