199 year anniversary of the death of Felpham resident William Blake.

William Blake died 12 August 1827.

He lived in the building now known as Blake’s Cottage (1800 – 1803) where he wrote the poem ‘Jerusalem’ later set to music by Parry.

In 1803 he was arrested for sedition in the doorway of The Fox in Felpham where I shall be at 18:03 on Wednesday 12 August. All are welcome to join me.
